For everything comes from him and exists by his power and is intended for his glory. All glory to him forever! Amen. Romans 11:36
It's easy to look at people and your job as your source, they are just the resources the source uses. Be grateful for the resources but let your focus be on the source.
The resources may change but the source never changes. When you look at what you need compare to what you have, you may be tempted to lose hope but one touch from God will take you from sickness to health, lack to plenty and sadness to a life of joy.
In those challenging times, it was not just the medicine that healed you but God is the source of your healing. It was not because you were smart, eloquent and have the capacity that got you there, God is the source that got you there. Always acknowledge God as the source of your good health, victories and every good gift that comes your way.
"Every good gift and perfect gift is from above, and comes down from the Father of light..." James 1:17. That good gift may come through men or your company but it came from your Father in heaven who is your source of supply.
Sometimes the resources may be cut off, don't be discouraged, God is ready to bless other resources to reach out to you. Never look at the economy of where you live as your source. Never look at people as your source. Pastors don't look at the congregation as your source. Jesus is your Source. Our supply is from the economy of heaven. The Bible says, "And my God shall supply all your need according to His riches in glory by Christ Jesus. Philippians 4:19.
This truth about our source is so vital that relying on resources keeps our faith from being active and blocks God from showering us with abundant blessings. When we talk about resources we are talking about anyone or anything that God uses to get our needs met. There are some important things we must address so as not to put God's resources in the place of God but to say with confidence that God is our source of supply.
Firstly, God should not be our plan B! You must take God out of your plan B and make Him your plan A! For example, if you are faced with unexpected expenses or a sudden challenge who will you run to first or who will be your first point of call? If God is your plan A, your heart will communicate with God first or you will go and pray about it first before taking any other step.
I am not saying, it's wrong to get in touch with someone apart from God during challenges or times of need but make sure to talk it over with God first. Going to God first in prayer will help you know the right person to share it with instead of sharing it with the wrong person! The Bible says, “But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you. Matthew 6:33
Most people make God a plan B, and when their plan A fails they get on their knees and cry out to God for help when all along, they had access to God. Impatience always comes out as a big enemy of making God the plan A or the permanent Source of supply.
The excuse is that God takes too long to answer so they can't wait! You need to lift your eyes to Him instead of looking down at your needs or your circumstances. Say, “God is my Source.” Keep saying it, and keep meditating on the Word. Let the revelation come alive in your heart until you believe that He is your only Source of supply.
Secondly, obeying everything God tells us to do helps us to make Him our source of supply. Obeying is believing and knowing that God's aim is for our well-being and provision. "For the Lord God is a sun and shield; The Lord will give grace and glory; No good thing will He withhold From those who walk uprightly." Psalm 84:11
In what areas should we obey Him? In all areas! Every single command we see in the Bible is an opportunity to be obedient.
Obedience is an act of worship and trust. It tells God that we honour Him above all others, including our fleshly desires. It puts Him first place in our life. Even more, it tells Him that we see Him as our only Source of peace, joy, happiness, healing and provision. "If you are willing and obedient, You shall eat the good of the land" Isaiah 1:19
Finally, let that faith in receiving from God come alive in you. The Bible say, "Then Joshua said to the children of Israel: “How long will you neglect to go and possess the land which the Lord God of your fathers has given you? Joshua 18:3.
You can't say God is your source without taking a step of faith. Faith isn’t passive, it’s an aggressive force. Faith takes what it’s believing for. That means, when you have a need, you’ve got to take action. Whenever you pray, don't just talk about it but take and possess it in your prayer.
Possession is a powerful key in the Bible. Israelites had to take possession of the land God promised them. He gave it to them, it belonged to them, but they had to take possession to receive the land. It’s the same when it comes to our needs. Jesus has already paid the price to give us everything that we will ever need. Now, you need to go and possess it.
Tell the devil to take his hands off your money, business, family, job marriage, children etc. And also Tell the ministering spirits to make the money locate you and other blessings that are delaying from getting to you.
Most importantly, renew your mind with God’s word until you believe, obey and reach out in faith. God is the source of anything and everything you could ever want or need. You can count on Him! Receive Him as your only Source by faith in God’s word.
PRAYER
May God’s word renews your mind, feeds your faith, and bring you to the position where you can receive the supply God has for you in the mighty name of Jesus.
"The Lord bless you and keep you; The Lord make His face shine upon you, And be gracious to you; The Lord lift His countenance upon you, And give you peace.”’ (Amen)
