For the vision is yet for an appointed time; But at the end, it will speak, and it will not lie. Though it tarries, wait for it; Because it will surely come, It will not tarry. Habakkuk 2:3
We all have things we are waiting on; waiting on a dream to come to pass, waiting for health to improve, waiting to meet the right person or waiting for an expectation to come to pass.
We know very well that God put the promise in our hearts but we wonder why it's taking too long to happen. "To everything, there is a season, A time for every purpose under heaven: A time to be born, And a time to die; A time to plant, And a time to pluck what is planted; Ecclesiastes 3:2
If there is a right time for that expectation, that means every other time is a wrong time. Quite worrying about whether God will meet your needs on time or telling yourself that your desired result is getting too late and start accepting that God will always be right on time!
It's not enough to trust God, you have to also trust His timing. He knows when we are ready. If it's not happening yet, you have to be mature to accept that it is not the right time. Instead of being upset, why not do like David and say, God, my times are in your hands, ... Psalm 31:15.
God knows when your blessing should manifest and when your promotion should manifest, all you must do is trust His timing and continue to spend more time with Him
Hebrew says through faith and patience you will inherit the promise. It's easy to have faith, and it's easy to believe in your dream but faith without patience will get you into trouble. "that you do not become sluggish, but imitate those who through faith and patience inherit the promises." Hebrews 6:12
The life of Moses gives us a good view of how faith and patience have a great influence on obtaining the promise! Moses was a young man that was destined to deliver the Israelites. He had the promise but didn't have the patience. He got into a hurry, made a move at the wrong time and killed the man who mistreated a Hebrew man.
The effect of that wrong timing by Moses kept him in the desert for 40 years until God's timing fully came and God also use that period of 40 years to train him for the assignment. Moses later delivered the children of Israel from slavery after 40 years of his first attempt.
What you are believing God for may be taking too long than expected! You may also feel that you are not making progress, God knows what He is doing. Don't try to force things to happen so it doesn't becomes a burden on you. "But they soon forgot what he had done and did not wait for his plan to unfold." Psalm 106:13
However, in the period of waiting, you are permitted to be forceful in your prayer, resilient in your prayer and don't give up in your prayer until you see the manifestation of your prayer. The prayer time is part of the training process to prepare you for the blessing.
God is arranging the right people and ordering your step. It may not happen according to your timetable but God knows the best time it should happen.
Sometimes you say why I am not making the right progress, what is wrong, nothing is wrong, it is just not the right time. As you continue to delight yourself in the Lord, He will give you the desire of your heart. If you trust God you must also trust His timing!
Every season is not a growing season or planting season. You have to keep a good attitude even when things are not working according to your timetable...The Bible didn't say, it shall bring forth fruits every season but it shall bring forth fruit in its season. "He shall be like a tree Planted by the rivers of water, That brings forth its fruit in its season, Whose leaf also shall not wither; And whatever he does shall prosper. Psalm1:3
Sometimes, God shows His love for us not by what He gives us but by what He withholds from us. God will always prepare us before He gives us what He has for us and what we don't need now, God may not want us to have it.
God can also be saying to you wait because somebody else who is going to be involved is not yet ready. God is not only ordering your step, He is also ordering the step of the people that has a part to play in what He is preparing for. God's time is the best!
PRAYER
"The Lord bless you and keep you; The Lord make His face shine upon you, And be gracious to you; The Lord lift up His countenance upon you, And give you peace." (Amen) Numbers 6:24-26
