Therefore I say to you, whatever things you ask when you pray, believe that you receive them, and you will have them. Mark 11:24
God has great things in store for you, too often you don't think you deserve them. You feel that you have made too many mistakes and don't see how you can be a qualified candidate for what you desire. Instead of allowing yourself to receive mercy, abundance, and blessing, you sometimes allow the enemy to whisper to you, why you don't deserve it.
You are praying for a breakthrough and looking forward to God's favour but because of how you feel about yourselves, you are indirectly pushing away the things you are praying for... you must understand that Jesus has paid for whatever you will need with His blood. "For if by the one man’s offence death reigned through the one, much more those who receive abundance of grace and of the gift of righteousness will reign in life through the One, Jesus Christ.) Psalm 5:17
Even If you don't feel qualified for the blessing or breakthrough, Jesus has qualified you. As far as you have received Jesus as the Lord of your life, He has qualified you for any blessing you may desire. The gift of righteousness is for all who will receive it. God's gift is for all who will receive it! He has wisdom and favour for you and you don't have to earn it, you don't have to work for it and it's not based on your education or your background!
These gifts would not do you any good if you don't receive them. The enemy will work over your mindset for you not to receive the blessing but don't accept the lies of the devil, receive your blessing from God today! Your best days are not in the past but in the future. The glory of this latter temple shall be greater than the former,’ says the Lord of hosts. ‘And in this place, I will give peace,’ says the Lord of hosts.” Haggai 2:9
I think we should be like Children in our act of receiving because they have no problem receiving. They don't see reasons why their request can not be granted! They will never stop demanding what they want until they receive it. “Do not fear, little flock, for it is your Father’s good pleasure to give you the kingdom." Luke12:32
When Jesus told Peter to cast his net and receive a catch, it didn't go well with him, after the excuses for why it is impossible to receive a catch, he obeyed, did what Jesus ask him to do and received a great catch that causes his boat to start sinking and his net started breaking.
After receiving from Jesus he gave another reason why he wasn't qualified to have received from Jesus. When He had stopped speaking, He said to Simon, “Launch out into the deep and let down your nets for a catch.”
But Simon answered and said to Him, “Master, we have toiled all night and caught nothing; nevertheless at Your word, I will let down the net.” And when they had done this, they caught a great number of fish, and their net was breaking. So they signalled to their partners in the other boat to come and help them. And they came and filled both the boats so that they began to sink. When Simon Peter saw it, he fell down at Jesus’ knees, saying, “Depart from me, for I am a sinful man, O Lord!” Luke 5:4-8
God wants you to put aside every reason why you think it's impossible to receive from Him or think that you need to qualify for a certain kind of blessing! He wants you to just receive without any conditionalities. The responsibility to enjoy God's blessing is more with you receiving it than God giving it. Everything you will ever need has been made available by God in Christ Jesus.
God wants to entrust you with more gifts! Just keep your trust in Him, love what He loves and hate what He hates. Live your life to please Him because He is the reason we live. Oh, how great is Your goodness, Which You have laid up for those who fear You, Which You have prepared for those who trust in You In the presence of the sons of men! Psalm 31:19
We read from our main Bible verse that we receive by faith, or by believing. We also read from our main Bible verse that “whatever thing” we ask when we pray, we shall receive. We must agree in our hearts that "whatever thing" means anything! Imagine praying with the belief that you can receive anything you pray about, it will influence your choice of words.
You may be praying for a miracle or a blessing, don't allow negative thoughts or doubt to rule over your mind and push them away... Be confident of the blessing God has stored up for you, approach God with the mindset of receiving anything from him, believe it, and receive with all boldness.
In the case of Mary the mother of Jesus, she would have dismissed it when the angel told her something that sound impossible but she said " ...“Behold the maidservant of the Lord! Let it be to me according to your word.”... Luke 1:38
How many blessings have we been pushing away by the way we respond to God's blessing? we must develop a new mindset of receiving from God and take our receiving from God to another level of possibilities. God is more willing to see you receive your heart's desires than you are willing to receive.
